Cool HTML5 game news: Spil Games and Google are hosting an HTML5 Game Jam in Spil Games’ headquarters in Hilversum, the Netherlands on the weekend of October 9
Though I think it’s great that you guys are going the HTML5-route, I was wondering what is the benefit for those devs to join your event? Surely the benefits for Spil Games are obvious (free ideas for games, see some potential candidates, costs nothing, perhaps some implementation tricks), but the benefits to the devs seem so-so. Wouldn’t you attract so-so devs that way?
@Thijs I think it’s a great event for developers to participate in. It’s not only a fun weekend with lots of other devs, but they can also learn a lot from them and get inspiration for new projects. This is the first time an event like this will be organized and they have the chance to be part of it together with experienced Spil Games & Google staff.
